Cristi López

Cristi is an artist and mental health advocate. She graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration.

Her work illustrates the often invisible journeys of navigating mental illness, femininity, and faith. She draws inspiration from Symbolist painters such as Klimt, Kahlo, and Schiele as well as the Catholic iconography prevalent in her Latin American upbringing. She aims to remind others that their unique, complex journeys deserve to be acknowledged without judgment. The neurodivergent mind is not to be relegated to the shadows; it is to be explored in full color.
